Big Walk, a new cooperative online “walker-talker” game from Melbourne-based development studio House House (creators of the viral hit Untitled Goose Game in 2019) and published by Panic, launches today, August 4, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Steam (PC/Mac), and Nintendo Switch 2.

What is the Game?

Big Walk is an open-ended cooperative online adventure that supports up to 12 players. As you explore a big world together, you’ll tackle a series of unique challenges that are cerebral, silly, or physical in nature. The game focuses on helping your pals, communicating, and laughing with them. While most online multiplayer games cap at 4 players, Big Walk’s capacity of up to 12 makes it an appealing option for groups who need higher-capacity games.

Release Times and Crossplay

According to GamesRadar+, the regional release times are:

  • PS5 (EU Store): 9am BST / 10am CEST
  • PS5 (US Store): 6am PDT / 9am EDT
  • PS5 (AU/NZ Store): 6pm AEST / 8pm NZST
  • PC (Steam): 6am PDT / 9am EDT / 2pm BST / 3pm CEST / 11pm AEST / 1am NZST (August 5)

Although the game launches at different times across regions, you can join your friends regardless of platform. Big Walk supports crossplay, meaning PS5, PC/Mac, and Nintendo Switch 2 players can all play together in the same world.

Design Philosophy

House House and Panic center Big Walk around discovery and cooperative puzzle-solving. You’ll spot boldly colored structures across the landscape, then work together to figure out how to reach them—such as stacking atop one another to reach a button at the top of a tower. Design choices guide you toward creative, teamwork-required solutions instead of obvious but wrong ones (like throwing a ball at a tower instead of climbing to press a button). All this exploration leads toward a definitive ending: Big Walk is designed to take around 10-15 hours.

Big Walk is available today on Steam for $19.99 (with a 25% launch discount for the first two weeks), on PlayStation Store (times vary by region), and on Nintendo eShop for Switch 2.
